November Ceremonies 2007.jpgNOVEMBER CEREMONIES 2007
On 29 November 2007 Lt Elaine Watson CPONN Kevin Ward, PONN Kathryn Pike, LNN Michelle Jarrett, LNN Rebecca Ward, LNN Rebecca Royd and LNN Lucy Norman arrived at HMS Excellent to embark on two weeks of drill training for the November Ceremonies taking place in London over the weekend of 10/11 November 2007.

The training although at times tedious was to be a much enjoyed experience thanks to the training staff and the other representatives of the Royal Navy and the Royal Marines.
On Thursday 8 November 2007 Lt Watson attended the Field of Remembrance at West Minster Abbey which was a very emotional afternoon and was attended by His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh. On Friday 9 November she was joined by the rest of the QARNNS contingent for a full rehearsal of the Festival of Remembrance.

The following day Lt Watson, PONN Pike, LNN Jarrett, LNN Ward and LNN Royd marched down the stairs of the Albert Hall to Hearts of Oak for the two performances, a very proud but emotional experience for all who participated. On Sunday 11 November all members of the team represented QARNNS at the cenotaph in London.

Overall it was a very proud weekend for everyone involved and an honour to represent QARNNS at such an important and vital national ceremony, ensuring we do not forget those who have sacrificed so much for us to live as we do today.
